Staff Pharmacist - Ithaca, New York

A retail pharmacy is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to join their team at a location in Elmira, NY. This is a direct hire opportunity with a focus on delivering quality pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced retail environment. Location: Elmira, NY Type: Direct Hire (Permanent) Schedule: Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Responsibilities: Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profits. Accurately weigh, measure, and mix drugs and medical compounds; dispense medications including non-prescription items; provide professional advice to self-medicating patients. Maintain communication with healthcare providers and insurance professionals to ensure quality patient care. Administer patient immunizations regularly. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, oversee pharmacy associates by scheduling, recognizing performance, addressing disciplinary matters, and assigning tasks efficiently. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. Current and valid New York pharmacist license. Current New York immunization certification is preferred.
