A travel opportunity is available for an experienced CT/PET Technologist skilled in computed tomography imaging. This role requires flexibility in work hours to meet department needs and a dependable, cooperative attitude. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic imaging procedures independently, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity while producing high-quality diagnostic studies. Location This position is based in Thomson, GA, a city known for its friendly community and Southern charm. Situated in a convenient location, Thomson offers a welcoming small-town atmosphere with access to larger metropolitan areas for culture, dining, and recreational activities. Responsibilities Verify proper clinician orders before procedures and obtain complete clinical histories. Safely administer contrast media and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform CT imaging, position patients accurately, and ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards. Operate and maintain imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure. Evaluate images for clinical acceptability and coordinate with radiologists as needed. Respond to emergencies and maintain life support equipment readiness. Maintain clear, concise documentation and communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff. Assist in multiple modalities as necessary and support department operations, including restocking and clerical tasks. Adhere to all policies and comply with regulatory standards. Qualifications & Experience Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT certifications in Radiography and Computed Tomography required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum one year radiology experience; CT experience preferred. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in patient care, sterile techniques, venipuncture, and quality control procedures. Schedule Four 10-hour shifts per week, with varying schedules. Call responsibilities as needed.
