LTC Staff Pharmacist - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support long-term care services. This role requires flexibility in shift coverage and offers the chance to work in a dynamic pharmacy environment focused on patient care and medication management. Responsibilities: Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and safely Monitor patient medication compliance and identify over-usage patterns Ensure medication supply compliance with legal requirements Maintain confidential records and manage pharmacy files Advise patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions Provide consultation on both prescription and non-prescription medications Educate patients on proper use of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions adhering to protocols Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory Collaborate with healthcare practitioners to identify and resolve drug-related issues Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Minnesota Pharmacist license in-hand (required) Experience in retail pharmacy is welcomed; training will be provided Ability to work flexible shifts from 9:30 AM to 8:30 PM, including rotating weekends Strong counseling and communication skills Competency in compounding and sterile preparation preferred Proven ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams Location: Eden Prairie, MN (contract assignment) This contract provides an excellent platform for pharmacists eager to expand their clinical experience in long-term care settings.
