Welder 2nd Shift - East Granby, CT

Welder (Light or Heavy Industrial) - 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am (Monday-Friday) | $27.00 - $34.00 per hour + 15% Differential effect on 2nd Shift | Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401K with matchYour Expertise:• Certification in GTAW; AWS D17.1; PWA 16 (in any group material) 3-5 years of welding experience required• Pass the welding certification tests for current materials used in the shop• Read, interpret, and process blueprints and operation sheets• Capable of using all standard bench tools and gauges required for setup, inspection, and welding of assemblies including calipers, height gauges, micrometers, and microscopes• Complete required quarterly process control samples• Complete logs, check sheets, job orders, and other paperwork for each job performed• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices Able to successfully multitask in manufacturing cell work environment• Excellent written and verbal communication skill• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office toolsYour Challenge:• Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal• Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements• Set up the welding machine for specific materials, thicknesses, and positions• Using complicated weld fixtures and weld positioner (turntable)• Dimensionally inspects welds and other characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects• Work outside department as required• Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times• Follow all safety guidelines and wears all Personal Protective Equipment• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations• Completes all required compliance training• Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Company’s internal compliance policies and procedures• Take responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policiesEducation Requirements:• High school diploma or GED Equivalent is requiredIf you meet the above qualifications and would like to apply for this position, please click APPLY NOW and upload your most current resume or you may email your resume to our recruiter, Dee Shider at; Please include “Welder” on the subject line of any e-mail correspondence.
