LTC Staff Pharmacist | Columbus, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a licensed Pharmacist to join an expanding operation in Columbus, OH, on a direct hire basis. This role focuses on providing expert pharmaceutical care within a control room setting, supporting long-term care facilities with medication management and consultation services. The position offers a unique shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, including every other weekend. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate medication orders to ensure appropriateness in terms of drug selection, dosage, interactions, and administration. Guarantee that dispensed medications are properly supplied, labeled, and prepared under supervision. Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to address medication-related questions. Provide therapeutic recommendations to healthcare providers and facility staff as needed. Investigate and resolve any medication-related issues promptly. Maintain detailed patient records, including medical history and laboratory data, within the prescribed system. Qualifications and Experience: Must possess a valid Ohio Pharmacist license. Prior experience in a pharmacy environment, with skills relevant to staff pharmacist roles, long-term care prescriptions, and pharmaceutical oversight. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in medication management.
