A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is sought for a contract position in Prestonsburg, KY. This opportunity involves supporting complex surgical procedures and providing critical post-anesthesia care within a dynamic hospital environment. Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care in a variety of cases including general OR, endarterectomy procedures involving stents and patches, aneurysm repair, vessel cleaning, and clot stripping. Assist in orthopedic surgeries such as total joint replacements, ORIF, and arthroscopy. Support general surgery, laparoscopic, and endoscopic GI cases. Deliver nursing assistance for ENT procedures including tubes, tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, thyroid surgeries, nasal fracture repairs, and selected gynecological cases. Act as PACU RN during call-back shifts to monitor patient recovery and manage post-anesthesia care. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications and practice according to established protocols. Qualifications: Active RN license with at least 2 years of OR nursing experience. Proficiency in general surgical nursing with demonstrated expertise in vascular and orthopedic procedures. Previous travel nursing assignments preferred but not required. Reside within 100 miles of the facility location. Ability to fulfill call requirements: one shift per week and one weekend per month. Flexibility to start promptly; adherence to orientation schedule is essential. Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week. Bi-weekly orientation.
