Production Operator Location: Junction City, KS 66441 Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 2:45 PM - 1:15 AM (2nd Shift) Pay Rate: $17.00/hr Hours: Approximately 42 hours per week Overview We are seeking a Production Operator to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating equipment, following standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. Key Responsibilities Operate production equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) Inspect and prepare products to ensure quality standards are met Thread and splice materials as needed and package finished products Set up and adjust equipment including coaters, winding systems, and finishing equipment Monitor equipment performance and production schedules to ensure efficient operations Record production output and raw material usage manually and electronically Build boxes and package finished materials as required Clean and maintain machinery, printers, tools, and work areas Ensure necessary tools, supplies, and materials are available for production Communicate with team members and supervisors to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety Identify and properly label hazardous waste materials for disposal Participate in continuous improvement, safety, and quality initiatives Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic reading, writing, and math skills Ability to read and follow SOPs, labels, and work instructions Manual dexterity for operating machinery and computers Ability to work both independently and within a team environment Preferred Qualifications Previous manufacturing or production environment experience Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to operate production equipment and input data into internal systems Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Work Environment This role operates in a manufacturing setting and may require standing for extended periods, handling materials, and working near production equipment. Additional Information 2nd Shift Schedule: 2:45 PM - 1:15 AM Overtime may be required depending on production needs No travel required
