This occupational therapy opportunity offers the chance to provide vital rehabilitation services in both acute and outpatient care settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient functionality, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapies aligned with occupational therapy standards and physician orders. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive patient evaluations covering skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive functions. Develop and update goal-specific treatment regimes in collaboration with physicians and clinical teams. Supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, Home Health Aides, and students, ensuring adherence to standards. Educate patients and caregivers on pathology, prognosis, and therapeutic interventions. Recommend and coordinate acquisition of supportive equipment based on patient needs. Document treatment progress, patient responses, and billing information in compliance with regulatory requirements. Engage actively in team conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and community education efforts. Function as case manager for assigned patients, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Utilize technology skills to support documentation and communication. Qualifications/Desired Experience: Valid Occupational Therapy credentials and licensure. Experience in hospital and outpatient occupational therapy settings. Strong assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills. Ability to supervise clinical staff and students effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Windows and electronic documentation. Capable of managing multiple tasks independently with excellent communication skills. Physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting and moving patients or equipment as needed.
