An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Department experience. This contract role is based in Asheboro, NC, offering a dynamic work environment focused on acute care within a 16-bed ED unit engaging both pediatric and adult populations. Key Qualifications: Active RN license with at least 2 years of Emergency Department experience preferred Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI; TNCC preferred Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, vent management, chest tube and PIV starts, TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation, and ESI assessment Comfortable with technological platforms such as Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitors Ability and willingness to float within Region 1 facilities as needed Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diagnoses including COPD, CHF, chest pain, MI, and stroke Monitor patient acuity and adjust nursing interventions accordingly with patient ratios of 1:4-5 Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, charge nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and emergency physicians Participate in weekend rotations every other week and cover approximately 75% of the holidays Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with hospital policies Schedule & Work Environment: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM No call or callback requirements Free parking available Scrub color: navy This contract position offers the opportunity to apply specialized ED nursing skills in a supportive setting with a clear orientation program and region-wide floating flexibility.
