A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in Woodbridge, VA, supporting students PreK through 12th grade across multiple itinerant school locations. This contract role requires full-time availability, Monday through Friday, delivering direct and indirect speech-language intervention services under the close supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. Key Responsibilities: Implement individualized speech therapy interventions designed by the supervising SLP to enhance student communication skills. Assist with assessment administration, observation, scoring, and data collection to support evaluation and progress monitoring. Collaborate with therapists, educators, parents, and other professionals to share information and coordinate student services. Participate in meetings such as IEP conferences and parent consultations to provide updates on student progress. Prepare documentation including evaluations, progress reports, and communication logs. Transport students between therapy and testing locations as needed. Maintain a positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to support student success. Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders. Prior experience as a paraprofessional or within a school setting preferred. Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy desirable. Demonstrated strong communication skills, including active listening and two-way communication. Ability and willingness to learn and apply new techniques. Upbeat and team-oriented demeanor. This position requires in-person work and offers a starting pay rate of $33 per hour, commensurate with credentials.
