A school seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to provide dedicated support for an elementary student within a public school setting in Salisbury, NC. This full-time contract position runs from August 4, 2026, through May 28, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week. Key Qualifications and Skills: • Active North Carolina Sign Language Interpreter license (NCDPI SLI license) is required • EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher mandatory • Experience with ECATS (Educational Communication Access Tracking System) essential • Previous experience interpreting in school environments preferred • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and support staff Primary Responsibilities: • Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for an elementary student in the classroom setting • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student inclusion and educational success • Maintain detailed records and documentation as required by school and state guidelines • Attend required meetings, trainings, and interviews conducted via Zoom Location Details: Services will be provided at a middle school facility located near Salisbury, NC.
