The EAR Section is responsible for monitoring and investigating harmful algal blooms such as Florida Red Tide; collecting and analyzing habitat and species data for terrestrial, freshwater, and marine habitats; and surveilling and responding to fish and wildlife disease outbreaks.Minimum Qualifications:2 years of professional, direct experience in an administrative support position. An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and one year of administrative experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.Preferred Qualifications:Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications:One or more years of working in the State of Florida’s Purchasing Systems (FLAIR, MFMP, Pcard & BoA Works system).One or more years of experience with Florida’s State Travel Management System.One or more years managing vehicle or vessel use logs.Requirements:Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate.To be considered for this position a Cover Letter and Resume MUST be attached to your PeopleFirst Application. Information should be provided regarding any gaps in employment.Position Overview and Responsibilities:The incumbent will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to staff in the Ecosystem Assessment & Restoration Section. The duties include but not limited to:Act as Works Auditor of State of Florida Purchase Card (PCard) transactions for approximately 70 team members. Ensures adherence to established state policies and agency procedures as well as provides guidance, training, and support to cardholders.Process section vehicle milage and maintenance logs for over 50 vehicles and vessels.Assist with state purchasing of research materials/supplies, equipment for section programs. Duties to include working with vendors, processing invoices, placing orders, research and utilizing state contracts. Working in MFMP and Flair/PALM systems. Receiving and routing orders purchased as directed. Manage the Harmful Algal Bloom team’s FedEx account.
