A per diem PRN Retail/Outpatient Pharmacy Technician position is available in a retail/outpatient hospital setting located in Greensburg, IN, southeast of Indianapolis. This role offers consistent hours every schedule, accommodating candidates seeking part-time or PRN work without the commitment of full-time hours. The schedule typically involves working 2-3 days every two weeks, with flexible first-shift hours-choices include 9 AM to 5 PM, 10 AM to 6 PM, or 11 AM to 7 PM-Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities: Prepare medications accurately under a pharmacist's direction, including measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording dosages. Type, adjudicate, and file new and refill prescriptions with thorough knowledge of insurance processes and claim rejections. Manage inventory by removing expired medications and handling uncollected prescriptions. Perform cashiering duties, balance the cash register, answer phone calls, and assist customers with over-the-counter purchases. Maintain prescription filing systems and respond to voicemails, ensuring excellent customer service. Desired Qualifications: Active Pharmacy Technician license in Indiana. Recent pharmacy technician experience, preferably in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings. PTCB certification is preferred but not required.
