Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor (ITSup II), the incumbent will provide technical support to the Department involving database driven web technology. The incumbent will develop e-government interactive web sites. This position will serve as a technical lead analyst on developing a wide variety of web applications for the Department of Justice (DOJ). The position performs programming analysis, design, and evaluation of the most complex data processing problems or systems. The incumbent will assist management in project portfolio planning by providing consultation, leadership, and technical expertise related to activities required to insure proper development, implementation, and maintenance of the DOJ's web development projects. On many projects, the incumbent will be expected to act as the Project Manager utilizing project management methodologies to help ensure successful completion of projects. The incumbent is expected to mentor and train journey level staff and act at the highest professional level providing support to customers such as divisional programs, management and executive level staff. The incumbent will work closely with the ITS IIs on web configurations, containerization and docker solutions. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . Working Conditions This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies. This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment. Candidate will be required to report to Headquarters, regularly (daily, weekly, monthly) during the first year of employment, for training purposes. Telework is a privilege, not a right. Telework access may be revoked at any time due to operational need. Candidate will be required to report to Headquarters on 2 hours' notice, in order to support operational need.
