A full-time, onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school serving pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students. This contract position spans the current school year and is located in Medina, OH. The role focuses on providing essential speech and language services to a diverse student population, including those with autism and utilizing AAC devices. Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language therapy to students in pre-kindergarten through 5th grade, including those in autism-focused classrooms. Manage a weighted caseload of approximately 80 students. Provide compensatory services to address therapy gaps resulting from the vacancy since October. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs). Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies effectively with students who rely on these devices. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (SLP-CCC preferred). Experience working in an elementary educational setting. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and related communication needs. Ability to manage a substantial caseload with effective time management. Familiarity with AAC devices and strategies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
