An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized pediatric cardiac critical care skills. This role requires hands-on expertise in managing patients in a Cardiac Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, including experience with chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions. This position involves providing complex nursing care independently, utilizing the full nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a strong focus on critical care needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care aligned with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice. Manage complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of pediatric patients and families. Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor for side effects and efficacy. Document patient history, symptoms, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about care plans, health management, and resources. Demonstrate leadership by meeting established competency standards and delegating appropriately. Qualifications and Experience: Current RN license in Texas or compact state. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (AHA only) required. Minimum one year of experience in pediatric cardiac critical care preferred; new graduates with critical care orientation considered.
