A skilled Radiation Therapist is needed to provide expert radiation treatment in a comprehensive cancer care environment. This contract opportunity offers a focused role delivering patient-centered radiation therapy in partnership with an interdisciplinary team, including oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and support staff. Location: Medina, OH Position Details: Contract: 13 weeks Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional morning QA shifts from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM No weekend or on-call requirements Local candidates preferred (local fee applies) EKG exam not required Core Responsibilities: Administer prescribed doses of ionizing radiation for tumor treatment, ensuring precision and patient safety Collaborate closely with the treatment team to localize tumors and participate in treatment planning Use critical judgment to manage equipment problems and treatment discrepancies proactively Conduct patient setup verification, daily treatment reviews, and quality assurance documentation Address patient concerns, provide education on care procedures, and refer medical questions appropriately Perform daily review of treatment records to monitor doses and safeguard normal tissue tolerance Maintain credentials and participate in ongoing education to enhance clinical expertise Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum one year of professional experience as a Radiation Therapist Certification: AART and Ohio Radiology License required Current BLS certification Experience with Elekta systems and HDR brachytherapy considered a strong plus Familiarity with simulation techniques (CT/Sim and conventional), IMPAC, Portal Vision/Viewstation, and mold room procedures beneficial Working at this location offers a collaborative, supportive setting focused on high-quality cancer care with access to advanced radiation therapy technology.
