Infinite Campus knowledge & training strongly preferred Thorough knowledge of secretarial techniques and office procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with others. Ability to coordinate workload to meet established schedules/deadlines. Demonstrates ability to make decisions, to work under pressure and to exercise good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality in performance of duties. Proficient computer skills including experience with a variety of software programs to include Microsoft Word, Quicken, Excel or other district approved programs. Clean Criminal Background Check, TB test and Child Protection Registry clearance must be completed prior to start of employment. Primary Duties: Under direction of the Building Principal, the Administrative Assistant I will provide clerical, secretarial, and administrative assistance to school administrators, conveying information regarding school functions and procedures; and supporting the broad array of services provided to students, parents, and employees. Composes correspondence, reports and other written documents. Communicates in a positive manner to all staff, parents, and community members through phone calls, emails, and when greeting visitors. Maintains a calendar and/or schedule for administrator(s). May also be responsible for scheduling building use. Opens, sorts, prioritizes mail and other forms of communication and redirects to those who should act and/or should be kept informed of its contents. Operates/maintains/trains staff on appropriate office equipment. Completes registrations for new students and maintains student information in Infinite Campus. Coordinates transportation arrangements for daily student transportation and for school field trips or events. Tracks student attendance and prepares related reports. Maintains and documents monthly Reports for Student Count and Unit Count. Serves as the school choice liaison by assisting families with their applications and collaborating with district office staff to process school choice requests. Provides support, functions as liaison, and works cooperatively with staff and school community. Assists administrator(s) in designated, routine administrative tasks or other duties as assigned. Communicates and helps coordinate McKinney Vento Services. Coordinates teacher/para coverage with guidance from the building administration.
