This truly is a place where we all share a challenger mindset which drives our success.What You Will DoJob SummaryThe IT Systems Specialist Lead is a senior individual contributor supporting Imperial's Manufacturing and Operational Technology environment. This role provides technical leadership, solution governance, and advanced support for plant floor and warehouse systems. The Lead works fully onsite at the Greensboro facility and ensures system reliability, service quality, and alignment between IT and operational teams. The position serves as the primary technical escalation point for complex incidents and drives standards, solution quality, and continuous improvement across IT and OT platforms.What You Will DoTechnical Leadership and Solution GovernanceServe as the technical lead for manufacturing and OT systems, ensuring alignment across OT, IT, and cloud environments. Guide integrations including SCADA and PLC systems, MES and MOM platforms, and SAP. Define configuration standards, integration patterns, and technical guidelines. Review internal and vendor deliverables. Act as the highest escalation point for critical plant system issues and lead troubleshooting. Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions and improvements.Services Leadership and Operational ExcellenceOversee IT service delivery for plant systems using ITIL aligned incident, problem, and change processes. Ensure system availability, reliability, and performance. Establish monitoring, alerting, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle standards. Support upgrades, hardening, and operational readiness. Coordinate responses to issues with Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, IT Operations, Cybersecurity, and vendors. Mentor analysts and support partners on troubleshooting and technical best practices.Solutions Delivery and Project ParticipationTranslate operational requirements into technical specifications and solution designs. Lead configuration, testing, deployment, cutover, and stabilization for new or updated plant and warehouse systems. Serve as a technical authority on project teams to ensure scalability, maintainability, and alignment with MOT standards. Support modernization efforts for legacy Windows and .NET applications, cloud platforms, standardization, and OT and IT convergence.Operational Domains and Technology ScopeSupports technologies across manufacturing operations, industrial systems, automation, warehouse execution, and plant floor systems.Industrial Control and AutomationSCADA platforms, PLC integrations, RFID devices, industrial printing technologies.Legacy and Modern Application Stacks.NET Framework applications, Classic ASP, VB6, VBScript, MSMQ, C Sharp and Angular applications, IIS hosted systems.Database and Server TechnologiesSQL Server 2008 R2 through 2022, Windows Server 2008 through 2022, Windows 10 and Windows 11 endpoints.Cloud PlatformsCloud hosted workforce, compliance, research, and analytics solutions.Warehouse and Distribution TechnologiesAutomated palletizing, inventory systems, AGV enabled warehouse technologies.Asset Management and Maintenance TechnologiesMaintenance and asset systems and calibration technologies.Overall FootprintCovers OT systems, shop floor solutions, warehousing platforms, and legacy to modern transition environments.Collaboration and Stakeholder EngagementPartner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Distribution teams. Work with IT Project Management, IT Operations, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and IT Service Delivery. Engage external vendors for escalations, enhancements, upgrades, and roadmap planning.Qualifications REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology along with experience in Manufacturing Information Systems (SAP MII) Experience in implementing solutions using SAP MII and/or NetWeaver. Expert knowledge of general Web technologies, XML, HTML, JavaScript, ASP (Classic), ASP.NET etc. Experience in implementing and supporting various vendor packages, especially supporting Manufacturing Environment. Experience in planning and performing upgrades to existing software and assessing the impacts of the upgrades to interfaces to external systems. Experience developing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, and Views in various database types including MS SQL Server, and Oracle. Experience in writing programs for event-driven processes. Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Architecture, including Terminal Services and Virtual Server environments and a working knowledge of TCP/IP and general networking. Strong troubleshooting skills in resolving interface issues between systems. Strong documentation skills creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for stand-alone systems about both daily and disaster recovery backup. Experience in implementing solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies. Programming Languages: C#, VB6, VBScript Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, or related field of study with 7 years systems development work experience or Associate's degree in Information Systems, or related field of study with 9 years systems development work experience. Must be 21 years of age or older.
