Opportunity Overview: Middletown, CA 6-month contract The Wireline Maintenance Technician I supports wireline logging and surveying operations through hands-on technical work in the field and shop. Your role will involve rig-up/rig-down of downhole equipment, operating heavy equipment, maintaining wireline tools, and assisting with steam well, pipeline, and plant operations. You'll prepare, test, and maintain equipment to support safe and efficient field activities while following all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Your Day-to-Day: Support wireline logging and surveying services, including rig-up and rig-down of downhole tools and equipment. Operate heavy equipment such as wireline trucks, man lifts, bucket trucks, forklifts, and cranes (safe sling-load handling). Perform pre-job preparation: staging wireline units, checking tools, completing logistics, and ensuring equipment readiness. Conduct post-job tasks: cleaning, servicing, disassembling tools, running equipment tests, and submitting accurate paperwork. Perform routine maintenance, assembly, and troubleshooting of wireline tools at the job site and shop. Help with steam well and pipeline maintenance, steam field operations, and power plant support tasks. Maintain detailed documentation, daily reports, logs, and administrative records. Follow all safety protocols, environmental standards, and regulatory requirements while promoting a safe work environment. Who You Are: Hands-on technician with the ability to work in field, shop, and outdoor environments. High school diploma or GED Comfortable operating heavy equipment (wireline trucks, forklifts, bucket trucks, man lifts) safely. Perform physical work, including equipment assembly, tool handling, and rig-up activities. Safety-focused, with the ability to follow procedures, regulations, and best practices.
