Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CNC Laser Machine Operator for our client in Beaverton, OR. This position supports precision microelectronics manufacturing within an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with the following: CNC or production machine operation, machine setup, reading work orders and blueprints, maintaining consistent part quality, and working with strong attention to detail in a precision manufacturing environment. Pay & Schedule Pay: $22-$30+/hour DOE Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM (4x10s) Training: Initial training on day shift (5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) or overlap schedule Key Responsibilities • Set up and operate CO2 laser systems used to process precision ceramic components • Load materials, fixtures, and parts into machines and prepare equipment for production runs • Follow work orders, blueprints, and process parameters to ensure accurate production • Monitor machine operation and adjust process parameters as needed to maintain part quality • Perform first article and in-process inspections to verify parts meet specifications • Complete production documentation including inspection reports and work order records • Work with a variety of materials and part configurations in a high-mix job shop environment • Maintain machine cleanliness and support routine equipment maintenance • Communicate with engineering and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues • Follow all safety requirements including proper PPE and regulated work practices Required Qualifications • 1+ year of experience operating CNC equipment, laser machines, or similar production machinery, or equivalent mechanical aptitude with technical training • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent production quality • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment with changing work orders or materials • Basic mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active production environment • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Preferred Qualifications • Experience operating CO2 laser systems or other precision CNC equipment • Experience performing machine setup or adjusting process parameters • Experience working with ceramics, glass, or similar brittle materials • Experience performing first article inspections or in-process quality checks • Experience working in AS9100, ISO 9001, or other regulated manufacturing environments • Familiarity with metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, or dial indicators Benefits • Medical • Paid Sick Leave • Paid Holidays • 401(k) with Company Match Work Environment This role operates in a precision microelectronics manufacturing environment producing ceramic components for a wide range of industries.
