Specific eligibility and coverage details will be provided during the hiring processJob Summary: We are seeking a motivated Junior Fire Alarm & Sprinkler Inspector to support the inspection, testing, of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. This entry-level/apprentice role is designed for individuals developing their technical skills and knowledge of life safety systems. Working under the direct guidance of experienced inspectors and supervisors, the Junior Inspector assists with routine inspections, documentation, and troubleshooting while gaining hands-on field experience and industry certifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and other applicable codes. Accurately document inspection results, deficiencies, and service activities using company-provided tools. Communicate findings to customers professionally and clearly, with support as needed from senior team members. Help maintain tools, equipment, and parts inventory in the company vehicle. Follow safety procedures, including working on ladders, lifts, and occasionally in confined spaces. Continually develop technical knowledge through on-the-job training and company-supported learning. Required Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Basic understanding of hand tools, safety practices, and mechanical/electrical concepts. Ability to read simple technical diagrams or willingness to learn. Comfortable using mobile devices and basic computer applications. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and work as part of a team. Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver's license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in fire alarm, sprinkler, low-voltage, or related mechanical/electrical trades. This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces.
