Intensive Care RN | Mexico, Missouri

A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with ICU experience, focusing on neurological and stroke care. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care in a dynamic hospital environment, working primarily night shifts. Location: Mexico, MO Schedule/Hours: Night Shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Every other weekend required Must be available to work 50% of holidays Key Qualifications and Experience: Current RN licensure with a minimum of 2 years ICU experience Stroke unit experience and strong neuro checklist skills required ACLS and BLS certifications required; CPI certification preferred First-time travel nurses are welcome Ability to float between ICU and Medical-Surgical units Physical capacity to ambulate, reach, and lift up to and over 20 lbs Must be able to work during inclement weather and rotating shifts Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care in ICU and Med Surg settings with a patient ratio of 1:2 Monitor and support neurological and stroke patients with expert clinical judgment Adhere to hospital protocols for infection control and patient safety Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain compliance with ACLS, BLS standards, and hospital-specific policies Work Environment: The position is based in a 24/7 healthcare facility requiring flexibility and dedication to meet patient care needs during weekends, holidays, and adverse weather conditions.
