Created/Revised Date: 3/4/2025 Anticipated Closing Date: 3/5/2025 Job Title: Material Quality Engineer Location: Fremont, CA Shift: 1ST Pay: $38-$43/hr Schedule: Mon-Fri Job Summary: We are seeking a Material Quality Engineer with strong experience supporting direct supply chain and supplier quality operations in a manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming materials, working closely with suppliers, and supporting cross-functional teams including procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering. The ideal candidate has experience in supplier quality, material qualification, and supplier performance management within industries such as medical devices, electronics, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensure quality of incoming materials, components, and raw materials from suppliers • Work directly with supply chain and procurement teams to support supplier qualification and performance management • Lead supplier audits, supplier corrective actions (SCAR), and CAPA investigations • Review and approve supplier documentation including PPAP, FAI, and material certifications • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve material quality issues and non-conformances • Support new supplier qualification and supplier onboarding processes • Analyze supplier performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities related to supplier quality issues • Support incoming inspection processes and material disposition decisions • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure consistent product quality Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field • 4+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Material Quality • Experience working directly with suppliers and supply chain teams • Strong understanding of supplier quality processes and supplier audits • Experience with CAPA, SCAR, root cause analysis, and corrective actions • Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, or similar quality tools • Experience working in a manufacturing environment Benefits: Eastridge Workforce Solutions offers the following benefits, subject to applicable eligibility requirements.
