Cardiovascular Intensive Care RN | Provo, Utah

A Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse position is open for a contract assignment in Provo, UT. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN with strong critical care skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care in a high-acuity environment. The ICU unit manages complex cardiac cases, offering a dynamic and rewarding clinical experience. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current Utah RN license required at time of application • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred; 1 year of strong cardiac nursing experience will also be considered • Proficient in ventilator management, vasopressors, arterial lines, central line placement, rapid sequence intubation, and chest tube care • Familiarity with EPIC documentation system • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU setting • ACLS certification is mandatory • Outgoing personality with excellent communication and teamwork skills Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac ICU patients with complex needs • Monitor and manage critical care equipment and therapies, including ventilators and hemodynamic support devices • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient-centered care plans • Perform advanced procedures such as central line placements, arterial lines, bronchoscopy assists, and intubations • Adhere to unit protocols and maintain meticulous documentation in EPIC • Flexibility to float to Progressive Care Unit or provide sitter coverage as needed Scheduling: • Strict night shift assignments or 50/50 night/day rotation • Approximately 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks • Unit staffing includes dedicated CCT/US resources during day shifts for >10 patients Location Insight: Situated in the beautiful city of Provo, Utah, this role offers access to breathtaking mountain landscapes and a vibrant community.
