Specialty retail pharmacy is seeking experienced per diem pharmacists to support a focus on complex patient care. Location: Butler, PA Job Type: Per Diem Software: Pioneer Rx Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive medication consultations for patients with complex therapies, often managing 8-15 medications daily Deliver compassionate care to Medicare/Medicaid and low-income populations, many with low literacy levels Utilize disease state management skills to counsel patients on chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, multiple sclerosis, and others Maintain accuracy and compliance within specialty retail pharmacy operations Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in a non-volume-driven, patient-focused environment Desired Experience and Qualifications: Strong retail and/or specialty pharmacy background Proficient in managing and consulting patients with advanced chronic disease states Excellent communication and patient consultation abilities, with patience and compassion essential Experience with Pioneer Rx software highly preferred Active pharmacist license for Pennsylvania is required This per diem role offers the flexibility to contribute on multiple, regular dates.
