A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist with pediatric experience at a respected teaching hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. This contract role spans 13 weeks and involves working within a Level I trauma center, providing care in both Pediatric Emergency Department (ED) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings, as well as adult ICU environments. Key Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory therapy services to pediatric and adult patients in critical care and emergency settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans. Monitor and assess patient respiratory status, adjusting treatments as necessary. Participate in patient education and family support. Uphold hospital standards and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. Rhode Island state respiratory therapy license. Pediatric respiratory therapy experience, including work in Pediatric ED and PICU. Experience in adult ICU care preferred. Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. Ability to work night shifts on a schedule of three 12-hour shifts (specific days to be discussed during the interview). Additional Information: Dress code: scrubs of any color. Complimentary parking available for night shifts in the main hospital lot. For day shifts, parking is at a nearby garage with shuttle service provided.
