Pharmacist - Williamsport, Pennsylvania

This permanent opportunity is for an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead a retail pharmacy department within a well-established market. The position requires strong leadership and a commitment to maintaining high standards of pharmacy operations while driving business growth and excellent customer service. Location: Altoona, PA Schedule: Variable day and afternoon shifts, 36 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Setting: Retail Pharmacy Key Responsibilities: Foster a collaborative relationship with the store operations team to engage associates and effectively communicate department and company strategies. Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, adhering to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Manage the pharmacy department to build profitability by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and other initiatives to enhance script growth. Oversee inventory management by tracking sales and ordering pharmaceuticals to meet customer demand efficiently. Align pharmacy performance objectives with key department metrics focused on operational effectiveness and efficiency. Deliver excellent customer service, resolving medical-related questions and providing healthcare counseling. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, discipline, and performance evaluations. Maintain pharmacy security and cleanliness to comply with regulatory standards. Handle customer concerns to build trust and loyalty, and interact with physicians to resolve prescription-related issues. Prioritize and complete essential departmental tasks such as cycle counts, inventory control, and managing will-calls.
