Overview of Role CSC is seeking a Salesforce Technical Architect to serve as the senior technical authority for our Salesforce environment. This is a hands-on architecture role responsible for designing, building, and governing scalable solutions that power our lease origination platform and its integrations. This individual will replace external architectural support and assume full ownership of Salesforce technical design, code quality, integration patterns, and platform integrity. The role requires deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), APIs, and system design, along with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and engineering peers. This position requires in-office presence (minimum three days per week) to ensure strong business alignment and accelerate solution delivery. Team Dynamics • Technical Leadership: Act as the Salesforce engineering authority within the Innovation team, guiding developers and administrators while partnering with DevOps engineers on integration initiatives. • Collaborative Environment: Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Technology teams to translate evolving business requirements into scalable technical solutions. • Reporting Structure: Report directly to the Director, Technology & Innovation to ensure Salesforce architecture aligns with CSC's broader technology strategy. Requirements Key ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Technical Authority • Own the technical architecture of CSC's Salesforce environment. • Define and enforce standards for Apex, LWC, Flow, and integration development. • Establish scalable data models and automation frameworks. • Lead design reviews and approve complex technical solutions. • Identify and reduce technical debt. Hands-On Development (50%+) • Design and build Apex classes, triggers, asynchronous processing, and batch jobs. • Develop Lightning Web Components (LWC) and advanced UI workflows. • Implement structured Flow frameworks aligned with governance standards. • Optimize bulk processing and performance in high-volume environments. • Write and enforce comprehensive test coverage and deployment discipline. Integration Architecture • Architect and maintain integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite. • Define API exposure models and integration contracts with internal systems. • Implement platform events, REST integrations, and event-driven patterns. • Ensure clean system-of-record boundaries and data integrity. • Design for auditability and financial reconciliation accuracy. Security & Governance • Own Salesforce security architecture, including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules. • Establish code quality, documentation, and release standards. • Partner with DevOps to strengthen CI/CD and deployment practices. • Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance policies. Mentorship & Collaboration • Mentor Salesforce developers and administrators. • Elevate technical standards across the team. • Serve as primary architectural liaison between Salesforce and DevOps. • Provide technical clarity to non-technical stakeholders when needed. Qualifications • 7+ years of Salesforce platform experience. • Proven experience serving as technical lead or architect in a complex Salesforce environment. • Deep expertise in Apex, LWC, and Salesforce APIs. • Strong experience designing and maintaining Salesforce-ERP integrations (NetSuite preferred). • Demonstrated ability to design scalable, maintainable data models. • Experience establishing governance standards for programmatic solutions. • Strong understanding of API-first architecture principles. Preferred: • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification. • Experience in financial services, leasing, or asset-based businesses. • Experience working in highly integrated, business-critical environments.
