Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Pay: $40 to $47 an hour plus benefits Shifts: 6:00pm to 6:30am. Full & Part time opportunities available. Must work some weekends! Overview: Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) settings! In this vital role, you will deliver expert respiratory care to critically ill patients, ensuring optimal respiratory function and supporting life-saving interventions. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in high-pressure environments, from Level I Trauma Centers to specialized pediatric and geriatric units. We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented professionals who thrive in fast-paced hospital and outpatient settings, bringing a passion for critical care and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities: Assess patients' respiratory status through thorough evaluation of vital signs, oxygenation levels, and physical examination. dminister advanced respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, airway clearance techniques, and medication delivery. Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment with precision, adjusting settings based on patient physiology and clinical protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-including physicians, nurses, and pulmonologists-to develop and implement individualized care plans. Perform emergency airway management procedures swiftly and confidently during critical situations such as trauma or cardiac arrest. Document all patient assessments, treatments, and responses accurately in medical records while adhering to hospital policies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and current best practices in critical care to ensure the highest standard of patient care. Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or equivalent credential. Proven experience in hospital medicine, ICU environments, or emergency medicine with a focus on critical care. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy. Hands-on experience with ventilator management, airway procedures, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments in acute care settings such as Level II trauma centers or Level I trauma centers. Knowledge of pediatric and geriatric patient needs; clinic or outpatient experience is a plus. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
