Check Processing / Data Entry Specialist

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Payment Operations Specialist to join their team. As a Payment Operations Specialist, you will be part of the Customer Reconciliation department supporting the Set Up team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive approach to meeting tight deadlines, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Payment Operations SpecialistLocation:East Providence, RIDuration: 3 Months with possible extension/ConversionPay Range: $18.82/h ron W2What's the Job? Support the Set Up team in customer reconciliation processes related to check fraud prevention. Perform accurate data entry for logged tickets within specified SLAs (same day, 2-day, 10-day deadlines). Review and process positive pay tickets daily, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Coordinate with sales and relationship managers for account setup and related tasks. Assist in the automation process and adapt to process changes as they develop over the next few months. What's Needed? Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Familiarity with macros and navigating multiple systems such as Mainframe and nCino (Salesforce). Prior experience with Citizens systems or banking/check processing is preferred. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to process automation and workflow changes.
