Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical/Secretary - 12-Months Date Posted: 3/4/2026 Location: Arrowhead Elementary We are seeking a Secretary to the Principal at Arrowhead Elementary School. This is a full-time - 12 month position. (260 day, includes 13 paid holidays). Position will begin in the 2026-2027 school year. (after June 30, 2026) Compensation: $30.70/hour Benefits: As per the CBA with MESPA for 12 month employees REPSONSIBLITIES: Project a positive image of the school district and Arrowhead Elementary in particular. Assist other staff by working cooperatively to achieve the goals of the organization. Interact positively with all levels of the educational community as well as the public, parents, a variety of service agencies, state and governmental officials, District administrators, and I.U. personnel. Screen and monitor telephone calls for the Principal. Maintain appointment calendar for the Principal and arrange appointments/meetings as appropriate. Open, date, and sort mail for the Principal and handle routine requests for information. Maintain files appropriate to efficient operation of the school. Process bulk mailings as needed to students, staff and community. Maintain records such as budget expenditures, teacher observations, purchase orders, teacher attendance, substitute reports and class coverage reports. Make appropriate arrangements for special event programs, assemblies and meetings. Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal. REQUIREMENTS: Must possess basic knowledge of office procedures. Must have proficient computer skills (PowerSchool, Word, Excel, Outlook, Google, etc.). Must possess effective communication skills and be able to interact in a positive manner. Must be able to deal effectively with the public. Must be organized and able to use time effectively.
