A skilled Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available for a contract position located in Matthews, NC, serving a healthcare network near Charlotte. This role is ideal for professionals with at least two years of respiratory therapy experience who are ready to provide critical care across multiple specialized units, including Adult Care, NICU, CVICU, ED, and Progressive Care. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive respiratory care using advanced equipment such as Servo ventilators, Trilogy, and ResMed AirCurve. Provide expertise in all floor therapies in a fast-paced environment that serves more than 300 patients daily. Collaborate with respiratory care leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes. Utilize EMR software (EPIC) to document and coordinate patient care. Float within Region 2 facilities and Central Division hospitals as needed, with travel time compensated. Participate in orientation and ongoing departmental training to maintain high standards. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and certification in NC required. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. Minimum of 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy, including NICU and CVICU experience. Comfortable with floating and flexible scheduling, including every other weekend rotation and holiday shifts (75% coverage). Additional Information: Shift: 12-hour day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), no on-call or call-back required. Parking is free, and team collaboration is a core departmental value. Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
