An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide maternity leave coverage in a school setting. This contract position is located onsite in Elgin, IL, serving one elementary school site. Position Details: Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, spread over 3 days. The district offers flexibility and may approve splitting hours across 4-5 days if needed. Contract Duration: Mid-April start (potentially earlier) through May 28 Caseload: The majority of students are in self-contained classrooms designed for students with autism. Setting: Special education environment within self-contained autism programs Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to eligible students following Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Collaborate closely with special education professionals and classroom teams. Support student access, enhance functional skill development, and promote participation within autism-focused self-contained classrooms. Qualifications: Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant certification. Experience working with students with autism is preferred.
