A specialized role is available for a Registered Nurse with NICU and Respiratory Therapist credentials at a leading healthcare institution in Larimore, ND. This contract position focuses on delivering exceptional respiratory care to neonates in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting. Ideal candidates will bring a minimum of two years' experience in neonatal respiratory therapy and recent travel assignments, demonstrating adaptability and clinical expertise. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive evaluations and patient assessments in the NICU. Administer diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory treatments. Educate patients' families, providing support aligned with their needs. Monitor and document significant changes in patient conditions, communicating with care teams. Conduct pain assessments and intervene following established protocols. Complete thorough documentation including order entry, EMR updates, medication charting, and safety reports. Maintain respiratory equipment by cleaning, assembling, and scheduling preventative maintenance. Safely transport neonatal patients to and from referral centers, ensuring high-quality critical care. Fulfill additional duties necessary for departmental and organizational success. Qualifications and Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed by the North Dakota State Board of Respiratory Care prior to start. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications. Minimum two years' experience in NICU respiratory therapy. Recent travel therapy experience preferred, with at least three completed assignments. New graduates must obtain registry from the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT) within 12 months of start.
