This opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students across K-12 settings in Escondido, CA. The position features a split assignment between two schools, each serving a diverse student population with moderate to severe autism caseloads, Resource Specialist Program (RSP), and Special Day Class (SDC) students. You will work alongside experienced Speech-Language Pathologists committed to delivering high-quality support and intervention. Location: Escondido, CA Split assignment between two schools: French Valley Elementary Margarita Middle School Position Details: Contract duration: Current School Year (CSY) Start: ASAP End: June 5, 2026 Weekly hours: 32.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break Responsibilities: Providing direct speech-language support to students with moderate to severe autism and other communication challenges Collaborating with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Assisting with data collection, progress tracking, and adapting intervention strategies to meet student needs Participating in team meetings and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment Qualifications: Experience working as an SLPA in a school setting, preferably supporting students with autism and special education needs Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to student-centered support and professional growth This rewarding position provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills while working in a supportive atmosphere.
