School Behavior Specialist in Lakewood, WA

A full-time Behavior Specialist or Registered Behavior Technician opportunity is available for the upcoming school year, from September 3, 2025, through June 10, 2026, with possible training sessions prior to the start date. This onsite contract position serves a K-12 school setting in Lakewood, WA, focusing primarily on elementary school support. Key responsibilities include managing caseloads that may consist of either building Behavior Specialist Assistants (BSA) or providing 1:1 support. Those focusing on building BSA's will primarily work with elementary students, supporting behavioral interventions and contributing to positive student outcomes. Qualifications and experience: Relevant credentials as a Behavior Specialist Assistant (BSA), Certified Behavior Technician (CBT), or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Valid Washington State licensure or credentials as required by the role Completion of fingerprint clearance through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction) Ability to work full days onsite, with a daily schedule totaling 7.5 hours including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break (7 hours paid) Experience working within K-12 educational settings is strongly preferred This role provides an important opportunity to positively impact student behavior and development within an established school community.
