A highly skilled EP Tech opportunity is available at a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital renowned for its advanced cardiac care and Magnet designation. This contract position is based in Concord, NC, and offers a dynamic work environment in state-of-the-art EP labs. The role involves supporting adult electrophysiology procedures including EPS, catheter ablations (PFA, radiofrequency, and cryoablations), implantable device procedures such as pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, lead extractions, and monitoring complex cardiac cases. Work is performed across 4 EP labs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 3 labs on Wednesday, supporting a robust schedule with a patient-centered approach. Key Responsibilities: Assist and scrub in EP and structural cases, supporting catheter ablations, device implants, and related procedures Monitor patient status and equipment, manage conscious sedation and pressors as needed Complete thorough documentation utilizing EPIC electronic medical records Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including VAD, ECMO, RT, and Code Teams to ensure patient safety and quality care Participate in weekend on-call rotation and holiday coverage as required Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years EP lab experience; credentialed as RN or Cardiac Cath Tech RN certifications: BLS and ACLS required Cardiac Cath Tech certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R or equivalent OR RCIS required; RCES preferred Experience with EPIC charting and pre/post documentation Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring, Philips/X-ray imaging equipment, and related lab technologies Schedule & Work Environment: Shift: Four 10-hour shifts, 0630 to 1700; 6-week rotating schedule Department culture emphasizes safety, continuous learning, technical excellence, and professional respect Free parking and scrub color provided Onboarding includes 1 week self-sufficient orientation plus departmental training and ACE modules Location Insight: Concord, NC, offers an excellent balance of urban amenities paired with a welcoming community atmosphere.
