A school district in Long Beach, CA is seeking a certified and licensed Speech and Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment. This role involves providing specialized support to preschool programs, the Preschool Assessment Team, and Mild Moderate 1-2 Special Day Classes (SDC) on a full-time, five-day-a-week schedule. The position is available to start immediately. Responsibilities: Deliver speech and language therapy services to preschool-aged children in school settings Conduct assessments and collaborate with the Preschool Assessment Team to develop individualized education plans Support students in Mild Moderate 1-2 SDC classrooms with tailored intervention strategies Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate regularly with educators and families Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning and goal setting Qualifications: Current certification and licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist Experience working with preschool-aged children in educational environments Knowledge of developmental speech and language disorders and appropriate therapeutic techniques Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Strong organizational and documentation skills Location: Long Beach, California This contract position offers a consistent full-time schedule with opportunities to make a meaningful impact on the communication skills and educational outcomes of young learners.
