Senior Construction Estimator Water & Wastewater Projects Company: Pacific Hydrotech Corporation Location: Main Office in Murrieta, California Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Heavy Civil / Water & Wastewater Construction About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Estimator specializing in Water and Wastewater Treatment projects. This role is responsible for leading preconstruction estimating efforts, developing competitive bids, and supporting project teams from concept through award. Key Responsibilities Prepare a detailed cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment facilities Must be able to independently estimate and close bids on assigned projects. Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents for public and private projects Perform accurate quantity take-offs for civil, mechanical, structural, and process systems Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier pricing Develop bid strategies, budgets, and value engineering options Identify project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership during preconstruction Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases Participate in bid reviews, negotiations, and presentations Qualifications Required: Minimum 7 years of experience estimating Water and Wastewater Treatment projects Strong knowledge of treatment plant construction, piping, concrete, mechanical, and process systems Proficiency with estimating software (InEight/Hard Dollar or similar) Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings and specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred: Experience with municipal and public works projects Familiarity with Cities, Counties and Water Districts local utility standards Bachelors degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field. Equivalent proven long experience in the water/wastewater industry can be considered.
