Details Acute care hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit Patient population includes pneumonia, heart failure, GI bleed, DKA, altered mental status (AMS), and sepsis Night shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 No LPNs on nights; charge nurse carries a reduced patient load when fully staffed but takes up to 6 patients when staffing is limited Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM 36 hours per week with the option to pick up additional PRN hours Every other weekend required Floating required to like Med/Surg departments as needed No on-call responsibilities Epic EMR — experience required Requirements Active Michigan (MI) RN license required Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Med/Surg Telemetry experience required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Holiday time-off requests are not accepted; any schedule accommodations must be discussed directly with the unit manager Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate American Traveler Job ID P-680435.
