Details Hospital-based Med/Surg unit environment Patient population includes a mix of medical and specialty patients across ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, and surgical cases (hysterectomies and mastectomies) Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM 36 or 48 hour weeks available Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on nights; may flex to 1:7-8 with LPN support Every other weekend required Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week based on unit needs 13-week contract Requirements Active Michigan RN license required BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certification may be accepted with confirmation of intent to obtain Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required; 2 years strongly preferred Additional Information Must be available for the first 2 weeks of the assignment for orientation Collaborative team environment with RNs, LPNs, and techs Block scheduling cannot be accommodated at this time Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility will be paid at a local rate A March 23rd start is strongly preferred; an April 6th start will be considered American Traveler Job ID P-680403.
