Global Sourcing Specialist The Global Sourcing Specialist is responsible for the tactical management of all assigned global suppliers, commodities, or services. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, this position will work to optimize supply chain processes and provide support to the category management team to onboard and manage suppliers as well as maintain current and accurate information in our systems. 1. Identify, qualify, onboard, and manage suppliers as assigned. This includes requesting and checking supplier statements, credit reports, contracts, non-disclosure agreements, supplier extranet setup, freight forwarder setup, and working with the legal team on contract redlines. 2. Update and maintain supplier documentation in Agile, Vendorful, and any other relevant systems. 3. Develop strong relationships with assigned suppliers. 4. Support assigned category managers with tactical and administrative tasks, including but not limited to: supplier checklists, updating product master information, updating and renewing supplier contracts, routing change orders in the Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) system, weekly trade compliance updates, and fielding day-to-day communications with suppliers as needed. 5. Support assigned category managers with New Product Development (NPD) project tasks, including but not limited to: Request for Quote (RFQ) creation, submission, monitoring, and analysis; sending and requesting product samples to and from potential suppliers; initial purchase order (PO) requests. 6. Analyze system data and check for accuracy, completion, and detail. 7. Create cost comparisons and pricing analyses. 8. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work. Job Qualification Requirements Bachelors degree in supply chain or related field and one year of relevant experience. APICS American Production and Inventory Control Society, CSCP Certified Supply Chain Professional, CPM Certified Purchasing Manager certification, or CPIM Certified in Production and Inventory Management certification a plus. Travel is minimal, but may be necessary at times. Understanding of supply chain processes and best practices. Project management and problem solving skills. Demonstrated supplier management skills. Must be able to work and effectively communicate with all levels of the company and suppliers. Ability to lead and effectively manage cross functional teams. Drive for continuous improvement. Must be able to manage multiple cross functional projects at once. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Physical Demand Requirements Occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. This role has an annual salary range of $60,000-$75,000.
