Job Details Location: Aurora, Colorado (80045) — Denver metro / Colorado travel nursing job Assignment Type: Travel (Travel Nurse / Travel OR RN) Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center, 41 OR unit (high-acuity perioperative environment) Start Date: March 30, 2026 End Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15), occasional float to 08:45 and 10:45 starts; occasional float to nights (no more than 3 shifts per contract, 18:45 – 07:15) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend/On-Call: As needed, including approximately 3 on-call shifts per 8-week schedule period Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,250 - $2,370 per week Job Requirements (Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse) Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (required) — perioperative/circulating and scrub experience Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center (required) Required experience circulating emergent craniotomy cases Scrub experience required (scrub nurse and circulating nurse duties) Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record/charting system (required) Current and valid Colorado RN license or Compact RN license (required) Current AHA BLS certification (required) Travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers not accepted Willingness to float to other ORs within the facility as needed Ability to work with a wide variety of surgical cases: General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, Plastics (required) Responsibilities (Surgical RN / Operating Room) Circulate and scrub for a broad spectrum of surgical procedures, including general, GU/GYN, neuro, ENT, and plastics Serve as an expert Perioperative/Operating Room RN in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma environment Float to other OR rooms and shifts as needed to meet facility and patient care needs Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage as required Utilize EPIC for accurate, timely perioperative documentation and handoffs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, perioperative standards, and safety protocols Demonstrate flexibility, critical thinking, and adaptability in a dynamic surgical setting Take your OR nursing career to the next level in Aurora, Colorado — a vibrant community with easy access to the Rocky Mountains.
