Quality Technician II As a Quality Technician II, you will be responsible for adhering to quality control processes and recording results during the manufacturing process under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager. Your role is crucial in ensuring that products meet specified standards and adhere to established processes and quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical components and assemblies to ensure conformance to specifications. Inspect items against parameters listed on drawings or quality specification sheets. Initiate nonconforming material reports or receiving rejection notices for items not meeting appropriate specifications. Perform first article inspections for manufactured/vendor supplied products. Generate inspection plans. Conduct product testing for function/design under the guidance of the Quality Manager or Engineering. Assist in the development and maintenance of pertinent departmental metrics. Perform manufacturing audits to ensure procedures are followed and products are tested in accordance with approved test plans. Execute computer transactions in the ERP system, verifying lot and/or serial numbers. Maintain security and integrity of quarantined components and devices. Support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001:2015 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives. Understand the implications of not conforming to QMS requirements. Organize work tasks to achieve target results and objectives. Complete inspection records and reports accurately and on time. Essential Skills Proficient in inspection and quality inspection techniques. Experience with measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, hard gauges, pin gauges, and dial indicators. Ability to program and operate inspection lab equipment, including CMM, FARO/Hexagon Scanning Arm, Keyence IM, comparator, and height gauge/surface plate. Thorough understanding of GD&T. Effective time management skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software applications. Maintain inspection records and compile measurement log activities and reports. Ability to research part and material specifications as needed. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams/assembly drawings and follow build/test procedures. Ability to communicate defects and root cause information to engineering, customer service, tech support, and external customers. Additional Skills & Qualifications Five or more years of experience as a QC Inspector or Technician with electro-mechanical instruments and components preferred. Experience in a regulated industry preferred. Two years of manufacturing and/or assembly experience. Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 environment is a plus. Ability to perform failure analysis. Work Environment The work environment includes both office and manufacturing settings, where you will encounter factors such as heat, humidity, noise, and the need to lift materials. The role requires standing for extended periods, frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking for 8-10 hours per day. Specific vision abilities, such as 20/20 eyesight with or without corrective lenses, are required. You must comply with safety and PPE requirements and be capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. The work environment is somewhat loud and involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, tools, and minimal environmental hazards. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr. This role is a direct placement opportunity so the candidate will be eligible for Knox medical, dental, and vision benefits, as well as 401K, from their first day.
