Details Work in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with acute medical-surgical conditions such as CHF, pneumonia, stroke, TIA, seizures, UTIs, infections, and cardiac diagnoses Post-procedural care for pacemaker insertions and cardiac catheterizations Experience with thoracentesis, chest tube management, cardiac drips (including heparin drips), and peritoneal dialysis Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Every other weekend (EOW) required 13-week contract Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Med/Surg Telemetry experience required PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration Two professional references required for consideration Additional Information Provide acute medical-surgical nursing care with telemetry monitoring to adult and geriatric patients Administer and manage cardiac and heparin drips Provide post-procedural care including thoracentesis, chest tube, pacemaker, and cardiac catheterization follow-up American Traveler Job ID P-680425.
