Job Title The Logistics Coordinator works to support the overall Logistics Department. This individual should be highly organized and possess stellar written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high regard for customer satisfaction, be a team player, and can think quickly on their feet. This is an office-based logistics coordination role (not a warehouse or driving position) Primary responsibilities include scheduling, tracking, and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery; coordinating directly with carriers, freight providers, and third-party logistics partners; proactively addressing shipment delays, service disruptions, or documentation discrepancies; maintaining visibility of transportation costs, timelines, and service performance; serving as the primary point of contact for shipment status updates and logistics inquiries; communicating professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams; providing accurate and timely shipping quotes to Sales and Operations teams; developing and maintaining an understanding of customer-specific requirements, pricing, and service expectations; preparing, reviewing, and maintaining transportation documentation including bills of lading and applicable compliance paperwork; ensuring adherence to DOT regulations and company compliance standards; maintaining accurate shipment records within ERP and carrier portals; identifying opportunities to improve route efficiency and transportation productivity; supporting equipment tracking and maintenance coordination; and recommending process improvements to enhance logistics performance and customer satisfaction. Able to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders simultaneously. Desired qualifications include 2+ years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation planning, or supply chain operations. Must be resourceful, organized, and able to provide exceptional customer service. Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SAP. Experience within shipper portals - FedEx, UPS, etc. Must possess positive, effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Must possess emotional intelligence with outstanding interpersonal skills. Familiarity with DOT compliance and best practices.
