Job Summary: KBR is a company of innovators and thinkers dedicated to improving the world responsibly and safely. They are seeking an entry level software developer to support the development, maintenance, and integration of Training Systems software at NASAs Johnson Space Center, focusing on External Interfaces. Responsibilities: • Candidate must have good problem-solving experience using computer programming and experience in C++ software development. • Linux or UNIX skills are required. • Candidate must understand the mathematics and physical science governing spacecraft systems and dynamics (orbital mechanics, aerodynamics, coordinate system transformation, etc.) and Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) devices. • Candidate must be able to perform simple and complex software builds and integrate software with other developers. • Must possess good oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively and coordinate actions with both internal and external customers. Qualifications: Required: • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree. • Software development experience using C++. • Linux or UNIX skills. • Good problem-solving experience using computer programming. • Understanding of the mathematics and physical science governing spacecraft systems and dynamics (orbital mechanics, aerodynamics, coordinate system transformation, etc.) and Guidance Navigation & Control (GNC) devices. • Ability to perform simple and complex software builds and integrate software with other developers. • Good oral and written communication skills. • Ability to work effectively and coordinate actions with both internal and external customers. • Strong initiative, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
