The Broker Licensing Specialist supports the Brokerage Consultants by managing the administrative, licensing, and application-processing functions necessary to onboard and maintain producers. The individual in this role ensures all required documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted properly; oversees licensing from start to finish; troubleshoots issues that prevent agents from writing business; and processes applications and submissions efficiently. A Glimpse Into Your Day: Manages the full licensing and appointment process for new and existing producers. Reviews all paperwork and online submissions for accuracy and completeness. Works directly with brokers to gather missing items or correct errors. Submits licensing requests, tracks progress and follows up as needed. Notifies brokers when they are approved and ready to write or unable to write due to outstanding requirements. Troubleshoots appointment issues, delays, expirations, or compliance barriers. Reviews, prepares, and submits application packets for life and/or annuity business. Ensures forms meet carrier standards and regulatory requirements. Tracks application status and provides updates to Consultants and brokers. Coordinates with underwriting, case managers, and carriers to resolve processing issues. Maintains accurate licensing, appointment, renewal, and application records. Monitors upcoming license expirations and communicates proactively. Assists the Brokerage Consultants with reporting and documentation needs. Provides strong customer service to brokers, carriers, and internal teams. Supports special projects, audits, and workflow improvements as assigned. Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned. What Success Looks Like In This Role: High school diploma or equivalent. 12 years of experience in insurance operations, licensing, or administrative processing. Experience in life or annuity insurance operations or compliance preferred. Familiarity with state DOI systems, NIPR, or carrier portals preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
