Locum Opportunity Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Location: Ontario, OR Schedule: 24-Hour Call CoverageA healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to provide locum coverage in a Level II NICU setting. This opportunity is ideal for providers who are passionate about delivering critical neonatal care, managing high-risk deliveries, and supporting newborns in a collaborative hospital environment. Position Highlights 24-hour call coverage with rounding Work in a Level II NICU caring for newborns requiring specialized care Opportunity to manage high-risk deliveries and neonatal procedures Practice with a collaborative NICU team and strong clinical support Flexible scheduling available for additional coverage blocks Practice Setting Hospital-based Neonatology service Level II NICU admissions and newborn care Collaborative care with physicians, nurses, and NICU support staff EMR: Epic ️ Clinical Responsibilities• Provide NICU coverage and daily rounding• Attend and manage high-risk deliveries• Perform neonatal intubations and airway management• Place UVC lines and manage neonatal vascular access• Evaluate, stabilize, and treat newborns requiring NICU care• Manage admissions, treatment plans, and discharge planning• Provide ongoing monitoring and care coordination for neonatal patients Patient Population• Newborn and neonatal patients• Infants requiring Level II NICU care• High-risk neonatal deliveries and post-delivery management Coverage Needs Initial Coverage Required:• July 16 (8 AM) July 19 (8 AM) Additional coverage may be available for extended blocks depending on provider availability. Requirements Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NCC) Active Oregon License Highly Preferred Ability to cover required July coverage dates NPDB Self-Query report (within last 30 days) Experience with NICU procedures and high-risk neonatal care Role OverviewThis role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a NICU environment delivering specialized neonatal care, while collaborating with an experienced healthcare team dedicated to improving outcomes for newborn patients and supporting families during critical moments.Providers with strong neonatal procedural skills and NICU experience will thrive in this setting.
